I’ve been a fan of Jeff Belanger’s for quite a while, and I love his new shadow zines! They make me feel like I belong to a community. When I was a kid, my brother used to subscribe to all those print magazines of yesteryear; finally, at almost 40, I get to be part of the cool kids club!
Anyway, I love this issue on Cornwall! As any student of language knows, Cornish is one of the almost-extinct Celtic languages of Britain. Along with this obscure language comes its own history, legends and culture, which is distinct Cornish!
Richard Estep has done a fine job; I especially love all the high quality pictures! Cornwall doesn’t get enough love, so grab yourself a pasty and curl up with a flashlight under the covers with this zine! Arr! It’s worthy of it’s own sea shanty!
